FRAYING A LITTLE, 2018
Scrim fabric, black thread (60 cm x 40cm)
All our stories are somewhat tattered and shredded
Twisting dreams unravel the seams
Of the cloth binding esteem
In a tangled up mind
And lives living within
The pierced heart
And the tattooed on skin
With knitted needles of stories
And coiled up woes
Of finding and losing and hiding of treasured troves
So I'm fraying a little it seems
Unravelling just at the seams...

This piece followed experiments made with scrim fabric: fraying, thread pulling and coating in coloured wax.
